enlaces
link. tie. bond. these are the words i found in my spanish/english dictionary when i looked up "enlace", the word i often use when trying to explain what exactly this connecting peoples thing is all about. and the answer is just that. linking. bonding. connecting. people. people from north america with people from guatemala and el salvador. and doing so with the hope of creating solidarity, establishing relationships, educating, and ultimately transforming. transforming people here and there to create a more just, humane, sustainable, and peaceful world. this is the goal. this is the esperanza. but really, what it comes down to is linking. bonding. connecting. people. that is what i hope this blog can provide. a way for you to stay connected to what the connecting peoples program is doing here in guatemala and el salvador. to stay connected to the experience that you had, or may have, here. to link. to tie. to bond. to remember that connecting with people is one of the most transformative, life-changing experiences available to us.
